Frequently asked questions

What is an IMLC?

An Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics Cluster is a planned industrial area beside an expressway, with plots for factories and warehouses served by the expressway. Along the Ganga Expressway the state plans one IMLC node in each of the 12 districts.

Which is the largest industrial node on the Ganga Expressway?

Bulandshahr, reported at about 2,798 acres. Bulandshahr district is also where the planned Jewar (Noida Airport) link meets the Ganga Expressway.

How do I get an industrial plot in an IMLC node?

Industrial plots in state-developed nodes are allotted by the developing authority under its allotment scheme, not bought from farmers. Watch Invest UP and UPEIDA for allotment notices. We have not yet recorded the allotment terms for any node.

Can I buy farmland near a node and sell it to industry later?

That carries real risk. Land for nodes is acquired or purchased by the state, and villages around a node can be notified. If your plot is notified, compensation follows official procedure, not the price you paid. Check notification status first.

What industries are planned in each district?

The state highlights local strengths for some districts: Khurja ceramics in Bulandshahr, handicrafts in Sambhal, handloom in Hardoi, leather in Unnao and amla products in Pratapgarh. Sector plans for each node have not yet been published in a form we could verify.
