How do we source facts?
Every figure on the site is stored once, with its source and the date it applies to, and every page draws from that store. We prefer official sources: UPEIDA, UP Cabinet decisions, UP RERA, UP Bhulekh, IGRSUP, Invest UP and development authorities. Where we rely on news or other secondary sources, we say so.
What do the labels mean?
- Verified: checked against an official source by our editors.
- Reported: from a secondary source, not yet checked against an official one.
- Sources differ: sources disagree; we show every value and its source.
- Data not yet verified: we do not have a reliable figure, so we leave it blank rather than guess.
How often are pages updated?
Toll and status pages are reviewed at least every 90 days and district pages every 180 days. A page past its review date shows an “Under review” notice until it is checked. Official sources are re-checked monthly.
How do we handle mistakes?
We correct errors promptly and log significant corrections, with the date, on our corrections page.
Do you make predictions?
No. We do not forecast prices or promise returns, and we avoid language that pressures readers to buy.
How are listings and advertising handled?
Agricultural land listings show how far we have checked them: seller-submitted, documents seen or site visited. A UP RERA number is not required to list, but is shown when a project has one. If we are paid for a listing, it is labelled Sponsored and its links are marked as sponsored. Payment never changes the facts we publish.
Pages also show ads served automatically by Google AdSense. We do not choose individual ads, advertisers have no say in what we write, and an ad is not an endorsement: check any advertised project or plot as you would any other.
Privacy of sellers
We never publish a seller’s phone number, name or khasra number. Enquiries come to us and we pass serious ones on.
